“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”

I agree with Ansel Adams. This is why choosing a right photographer for me was so important when I decided to have my first photo session. I saw Julia's work online and and really liked her virtual personality. I was not disappointed. I just hoped to have good photos for me to use as professional images but the photo session resulted in many photos that really captured who I am. I ended up using some of them for a profile on a dating site. I was happy I did because these photos brought together my now husband and me.

We had another photo session with Julie next year for all of us and, again, I was really impressed by her professionalism, courtesy, wit and humour that shone through the pictures. When she learned that we decided to get married she offered to be our wedding photographer and I could not imagine anyone else who would be a better choice, after all, her photos were the reason we found each other!

We had a small informal ceremony in a park that was really special for the both of us and, looking at the pictures again and again, we can relive this experience now and see what was there on that day: our beautiful friends and family who were happy for us and the whole spectrum of emotions that we went through before, after and during the ceremony. It was an amazing day and it will stay this way with us in Julie's photographs.

I'd like to quote David Bailey in conclusion to my review:

“It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary.”

If you are looking for someone who can capture your special moments in all their beauty, Julie Doro is the photographer you need!
